About the Job

Are you a natural community builder who also speaks the language of engineers? As LanceDB’s Developer Experience Manager, you’ll lead efforts to grow, inspire, and support our global community of AI researchers, ML practitioners, and data engineers. You’ll be the voice of our team at conferences, meetups, and online forums, while also producing content and programs that make developers feel empowered and connected.

Your technical background will help you earn trust and engage credibly, but your true impact will come from creating spaces where developers can learn, share, and thrive together.

The Impact You Will Have

• Drive awareness and adoption of Lance and LanceDB through conference talks, workshops, meetups, and online engagement.

• Create high-quality educational resources: tutorials, sample notebooks, datasets, videos, and blog posts.

• Build and support a thriving developer community across open source, forums, and user groups.

• Partner with DevRel and engineering teams to ensure community feedback shapes product direction.

• Design programs that strengthen engagement and foster long-term loyalty within the LanceDB ecosystem.
  

What We Look For

• Proven experience in building and growing developer communities (DevRel, developer advocacy, or community management).

• 5+ years in DevRel, software development, solutions architecture, or related roles.

• Strong communicator across writing, teaching, video, and public speaking.

• Solid technical background in AI/ML, data engineering, or infrastructure (enough to engage credibly with practitioners).

• Passion for open source, developer experience, and empowering technical communities.
